Skilled worker
It is clearly one of the strongest categories through which applicants from all over the world travel to Canada. Of the 310,000 new emigrants, there are up to 70,000 people in this category. The total length of treatment is approximately 6-12 months.
Conditions:
- clear criminal record;
- age more than 18 years;
- at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous, or equal amount in part-time (15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time) within the last 10 years;
- take an approved language test (IELTS or TEF) that shows you get a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 (IELTS 6) in all four abilities (writing, reading, listening, speaking). Your test results must not be more than two years old on the day you apply for permanent residence.
- You earn points for how well you do in each of the below written factors. Your total points will show if you qualify for this category. The current pass mark is 67 points.
